Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin

Updated: Mar 2, 2024

In the past, I lived my life by simply going through the motions, often prioritising others' happiness before mine. I adhered to perceived expectations, and moulding myself into what I believed others wanted me to be.

How did this turn out for me?! For many years, until my late 30s, it just passed by. I wasn't truly living; I was merely navigating routines without any spark of passion or genuine love for life.

After experiencing what could only be described as a midlife breakdown or crisis, I realised I couldn't continue living the way I had been. I made the bold decision to completely flip my world 180 degrees. And... how did it go? It was messy! It was traumatic! It was far from easy, but I wouldn't change it for the entire universe. Now, I am living the life I truly want to live.

I teach yoga six times a week and run workshops, holding space for so many incredible people each and every week. The studio I teach in is also under my management, serving as my very happy safe haven and filling my heart with joy. Delving into the yoga world has led me to continue learning, constantly enrolling in numerous trainings. The biggest training of all begins this year! I'm pursuing a Yoga Therapy Advanced Diploma, with plans to add extra training in Psychotherapy afterward.

I am opening up my world in the way that I want. I am living my life without fear, without holding back. While some days are hard and others are scary, I know that with the love and support around me, I can handle whatever comes my way. I have never looked back; it's all about looking forward while staying present in every moment. I am living my life for me!
